The carnival will feature 10 of Kajang's famous satay vendors.
MPKj president Datuk Hasan Nawawi Abd Rahman said visitors would have the chance to taste a variety of satay during the four days of the carnival.
"Satay is one of Malaysia's most popular delights and Kajang satay is already well-known to all. With this carnival, satay lovers can tuck into many famous satay including Hj Samuri or UK satay without having to drive to different places," he said, adding that the carnival was also a way of paying tribute to Kajang's sellers of satay.
Nawawi said about 1,000 sticks of satay would be given away on Dec 20 and 21 to visitors, expected to number about 100,000.
"Besides satay, visitors can also enjoy the carnival's many games and activities," he said at a recent press conference.
The games and activities include an auto show, a colouring contest, paintball, cake decoration contest, futsal tournaments, karaoke contest and fun run.
"We also will be hosting a fishing competition with cash prizes of up to RM15,000 up for grabs," he said.
